Giving

Dawson Communications Group was founded on the belief that there is no reason to exist if we are not making the world a better place for those around us and for the next generation.  We feel that it is important to act, no matter how small or large the action, it's the acting that is the most important.

In an effort to leave the world in better shape than we found it, Dawson Communications Group is donating a portion of it's profits in 2008 to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network in memory of Dr, John Kent McCormick, an outstanding husband, father, friend and orthopedic surgeon.

John left us on November 24, 2007 and will be remembered with love by all who knew him.  John was a giver.  He gave to his wife, his children, his friends, his patients, and the world around him.

It is in John's name that Dawson Communications Group gives.

We collected and donated footballs, basketballs, playground balls, cones, street hockey pucks and more.  Thank you to everyone who participated!

Victims of Haiti Earthquake
Completed Winter 2010
As we all searched for ways to help the victims of the devastating earthquake in Haiti, we  took one small step to hopefully help improve the lives of victims as they get back on their feet and care for loved ones very much in need.

We collected gently used jeans and shoes for the victims last January.  The jeans were turned in to Aeropostale.  That company matched each pair donated up to 100,000 pairs with new jeans and committed to sending 200,000 pairs of jeans total to Haiti.

The shoes were donated through Soles4Souls, a charity that does AWESOME work year round for people living in poverty near and far and victims of natural disasters.

Thank you to everyone who participated.

In February 2009, we were honored to bring more than 100 new and gently used books to the Treehouse warehouse to be distributed to local foster kids.  In addition to books purchased by Dawson Communications Group, this drive was generously supported by our clients and friends.
